Bride Guide

| When Should I Start Looking For A Dress?

We recommend that around 10 - 12 months is the ideal length of time, allowing yourself some time to gather ideas and inspiration and leaving an adequate amount of time to place your order in accordance with our designer’s lead times.

| Sample Sizes

As with all bridal stores in the UK, our dresses are a selection of sample sizes meaning that it is unlikely that they will fit you perfectly. We will do our best to give you an indication of how the same dress would look in your size, however some imagination may be required to envisage the end result.

| What Can I Expect From My First Appointment With Church Lane?

When you book an appointment at Church Lane, the store is exclusively available to you for your 1.5 hour appointment. We believe that finding ‘The Dress’ is one of the most exciting parts of the wedding planning process, therefore we strive to make your experience with us relaxing, fun and most of all personal. Refreshments are provided and please feel free to bring your nearest and dearest with you to your appointment, although from experience, we don’t recommend you bring more than 3 guests with you. We will help you to find a gown that not only conforms to your wedding day design concept but also suits your shape and most importantly, your personality.

| How Does The Fitting Process Work?

When you have chosen ‘The Dress’ we will take your measurements. These will then be forwarded to the Designer who will use your personal information to make your dress. Once your dress has been created and delivered to Church Lane, it will need alterations. We don’t provide an in-house alterations service, instead we work with an expert bridal seamstress company, whom we highly recommend. You will normally require 1-2 alterations appointments to ensure that the dress fits you perfectly. Please be aware that alteration fees are in addition to the price of your dress.

| How Much Do Your Collections Cost?

We have a range of collections that offer a variety of difference price points to suit various budgets, ranging from £1,000 - £4,500.

| Payment Procedure

We require a non-refundable deposit at the time of the order which is equivalent to 50% of the full amount of the cost of the dress. The balance of your dress, plus any bespoke customisation fees are then due when you come for your second appointment. Please be aware that all sales are final and therefore we do not offer any refunds or exchanges.
